April 12, 2022 is Professor Ding Baokun's 81st birthday. On the morning of her birthday, Professor Ding has been busy with the rehabilitation, diagnosis and treatment of mental patients as usual. After a short lunch break, she went back to work in the afternoon... In order to thank Professor Ding for her dedication to many patients and to the society, the colleagues of Maxstar held a brief birthday party for Professor Ding in the afternoon. Professor Ding was very delighted and gave a birthday speech at the party!

For more than 50 years, Professor Ding has been fighting on the front line of the hospital. We are proud of Professor Ding's lofty professional ethic and superb medical skills, moved by her professionalism that always considers patients, and full of ideals and dedication. She is happy with her medical and psychological clinical career, and pays tribute to her selfless dedication, humanistic love and selfless work spirit!
 
 Last year's birthday, I haven’t seen the growth of Maxstar yet. This is the second birthday in Maxstar. It has been the third year since I came to Shenzhen from Shenyang.  This day last year and today this year, Maxstar has grown in many prospects, from our technical services to our team, so I am very happy about the growth.

I am in my eighty’s, I can still work with so many colleagues, this is my pride, because I am with young people all day, so everyone makes me feel younger and younger, I would like to thank everyone here! Thanks to Jiang Shan and Jia Dingxin for providing the world of Maxstar, which enables me to exert my residual energy for the society. Every day I live in a full and happy life!
 
So, I want 81 years old is 18 years old, that is impossible (clapping and laughing)! So after decades of experience, the second sentence I’d like to confess is that a person must have goals and pursuits in life from childhood to adulthood and even to old age. When I was a teenager, my mother was in poor health, so I made up my mind to be a female doctor. I wanted to treat my mother and others. This was my original dream and pursuit, because of this goal, I am always seeking to develop, to fulfill myself. So today I still regard being a doctor as my lifelong pursuit. As the saying goes, as transient as fleeting clouds, whatever the fame of the director of the teaching and research department, the dean, the teacher, and the doctoral supervisor means emptiness. The real thing for me is just being a doctor, and the doctor's responsibility is to shine and heat up to heal as well as save people until the last breath of life.

So, I hope that the young people here, and all of you, you are still young and you are still growing. For me, when I was working at China Medical University, on my 60th birthday, I said: "I hope I will be a cactus. I, cactus, is planted in the ground. I hope that the longer the cactus grows, the more lush it becomes, and the longer it grows, the more prosperous!" Along the way, my patients, my colleagues, and my students all said that I am very sunny, and even I feel a great sense of achievement and value myself!

Finally, I am 81 years old today, and my physiology has entered the stage of old age. I hope that the speed of physical aging will be slower, and the physical aging will be faster when you are unable to stand on your own. Just don’t put too much burden on the children and colleagues, and go your own way. For the rest of my life! I am mentally prepared for this, I am not afraid of life and death. I am 81 years old this year, my father, mother, my relatives, etc., no one has lived to be more than 80 years old, so now my husband and I, we are classmates and the same age, the same year, the same month and different days, my husband's birthday is two days before me, we were high school classmates, all the way, we live happily together every day, we are healthy every day, so we are very content. Especially now that we live with my children every day, this is very rare. Although I have my skills, without this condition created by my children, I would not be able to continue to give full play to my expertise after retirement in Maxstar, I also thank my children!
So, in the daily life of the family, I try to do what I can, and I will do it. So my daughters are always angry and says that I spend money to buy things they don’t even need for them. I have no other way, there is nothing to repay them, one is work, the other is to take care of each other in life. No matter what they say, I am happy. I have my own principles of life, so it is a lifetime responsibility for Mr. Ding to be a doctor. I have always loved the profession of a doctor and try my best to fulfill various responsibilities in my life!

Finally, I wish everyone good health, work hard, work with heart, and make our Maxstar better! Let it truly make the contribution to the patients and society! (applause)
